We recently used On The Border for catering a graduation party. The food was awesome! Raigan from Auburn Hills dropped off chaffing dishes a day prior so we would have an idea of placement of food for the party (this was unexpected, but great). She arrived an hour before the start of party to set up, and by the time guests started to arrive, the food was ready. We ordered chicken, steak and beef with all the fixings for 160 guests. The food was hot and we received many compliments. Prior to delivery, I worked with Sara in Grand Rapids and Jen, manager at Auburn Hills to come up with a menu and price that we were comfortable with. They were extremely helpful! Would use them again in a heartbeat! One thing I would change/add... we paid for Raigan to stay and help at the party for 2 hours... I would increase that time, being we had a full house about that time. (She left about 6/6:30)
Had a great experience!! Used the waitlist on Yelp which is so easy and helpful. Received a message that our table for 2 was ready. Went to the hostess and she quickly led us to our table. From checking-in to sitting down - might have been 15-20 mins on a Saturday evening? Our waiter was great - attentive and friendly. Refilling our drinks and chips/salsa. Tons of great options regarding drink and food! Some healthier options as well. I went with a Skinny Rita which hit the spot - great balance and delicious. The complimentary chips and salsa was yummy - the chips are warm and the salsa is on the hot side for me. Ordered the grilled shrimp border bowl which was a decent portion size. Shrimp were on the smaller side but the flavors were good. My husband got the Grilled Queso Chicken and was happy with his meal. Bonus - I noticed if you check-in on Yelp, you receive a free queso!
